CSS Introduction

If you’ve already built a basic HTML page (like in our HTML Hello World tutorial), you’ve probably noticed that it looks pretty plain. That’s because HTML only defines the structure of a page — headings, paragraphs, links — but it doesn’t say anything about how those elements should look. That’s where CSS comes in.
